Position Title: Superintendent
Location: Walpole, MA
Reports To: General Superintendent
Overview:
Bald Hill Builders is seeking a highly capable Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on active construction sites. The Superintendent plays a key leadership role ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely execution of work while coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and maintaining project documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all daily on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Lead coordination efforts with subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
• Use Procore to track project progress, maintain daily logs, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
• Maintain daily photo documentation, noting site conditions, progress, and deficiencies.
• Monitor site safety compliance, conduct weekly safety meetings, and ensure adherence to OSHA standards and BHB safety
protocols.
• Maintain and update the construction schedule and 3-week lookahead in coordination with the PM team.
• Conduct regular site walks to ensure quality control, workmanship, and adherence to construction documents.
• Coordinate and lead site meetings including subcontractor meetings and OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings.
• Oversee punch list completion, project closeout, and as-built documentation.
• Maintain site logistics, enforce jobsite cleanliness, and ensure compliance with permit requirements.
• Interface with inspectors and address any violations or corrective actions promptly.
• Supervise direct labor and general carpentry activities as needed.
Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of superintendent or related field experience in commercial construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience preferred.
• MA Construction Supervisor License (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Strong knowledge of field operations, scheduling, safety, and quality standards.
• Proficient in Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
