Overview

The Structural Field Engineer conducts field inspections and provides engineering support for the maintenance and rehabilitation of WMATA's track and structural systems, including aerial structures, tunnels, bridges, retaining walls, and stations. This role ensures the safety, reliability, and compliance of all structural assets with engineering standards, WMATA protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. The engineer plays a key role in maintaining the structural integrity of the Metro system through detailed assessments, issue resolution, and continuous field monitoring.
