This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

We are looking for a Structural Analyst to use their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to join our team and positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
  • Acceleration, shock, and vibration analysis
  • Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
  • Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
  • Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in structural analysis of space/aerospace vehicles/structures/mechanism's
  • Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
  • Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation
  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Spacecraft Mechanism's/systems analysis
  • Hyperworks, NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus and Matlab proficiency
  • LS-Dyna
  • Fatigue and Fracture Analysis


Base Pay Range for:
CA applicants is $99,201.00 - $138,880.35CO applicants is $90,934.00 - $127,307.25WA applicants is $99,201.00 - $138,880.35
