NOTE:

The Role:

The Strategy & Corporate Development Senior Analyst/Consultant serves as a senior individual contributor responsible for leading complex financial analysis and strategic evaluation in support of enterprise growth initiatives. This role supports mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate development activities critical to long-term business strategy. In addition, the role will assist in execution of efficiency, productivity,
and cost savings initiatives.

The position operates as a key analytical partner to leadership, providing data-driven insights, financial modeling, and business case development to inform high-impact decisions. The role contributes to the evaluation and execution of strategic opportunities that impact enterprise performance and growth.

Day to Day:

  • Conduct complex financial and strategic analysis to support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), accretion analysis, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modeling
  • Maintain and continuously refresh a strategic target list through internal research and market screening
  • Evaluate investment opportunities using established financial and risk-based frameworks
  • Assess efficiency and cost saving initiatives for operational and financial viability
  • Lead transaction diligence and execution, coordinating with external advisors
  • Prepare and deliver analysis and materials to support executive leadership and investment decision-making
  • Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to identify growth opportunities and associated risks
  • Partner with business leaders and IT to identify and capture savings opportunities through AI and automation
  • Contribute to standardized tools, models, and frameworks to improve corporate development processes

Senior Analyst level, Grade 22:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or strategic finance
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise
  • Analytical and communication skills


Preferred:

  • Experience supporting M&A or asset acquisitions
  • Experience in utilities or regulated industries


Consultant level, Grade 23:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or strategic finance
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex transactions or strategic initiatives end-to-end, including financial evaluation, diligence, and execution support
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise, with the ability to independently structure and challenge assumptions in complex analyses
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on investment decisions and strategic direction
  • Communication skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
  • Experience in capital-intensive or regulated industries preferred

Base salary range: $110,250.00 - $157,100.00 (Analyst 3) or $123,500.00 - $175,950.00 (Consultant) per year, depending on qualifications

Annual Target Incentive: Analyst 3, 12.0% target
Consultant, 12.0% target
Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% - 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years. Must be employed by September 30 in order to receive any prorated payout.
