Full Job Description
Summary:

The Strategy Analyst supports LSPI's strategic planning activities and is responsible for helping to shape and execute LSPI's goals. Major assignments include periodic strategic reviews of LSPI's business functions, on-going analysis of the global oil industry and midstream markets, analysis supporting new product development, competitive intelligence gathering and interpretation, support of various process improvements, and other special projects. This role will be an active evaluator of and contributor to many aspects of LSPI's business, giving the employee a broad understanding of operations. This role is also instrumental in establishing the long-term strategic direction of LSPI, identifying growth opportunities and providing business intelligence to our leadership and commercial teams. This role interacts with all functions within LSPI as well as all levels of leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy and marketing projects, including those related to long-term scenario planning, product life cycle management, major infrastructure investments, internal marketing programs, and customer marketing programs supporting our long-term strategy.
  • Lead quantitative demand modelling for LSPI's forecasting process.
  • Conduct analyses of competitors and oil markets and identify implications for LSPI, including potential competitive response and market entry/exit.
  • Develop and recommend improvements in business plans and processes.
  • Provide analytical support to LSPI's Marketing Manager on major marketing initiatives, including new product development, segment analysis, and customer marketing programs.
  • Support M&A team's identification of new opportunities through analysis of potential new markets and technologies.
  • Role is not limited to the above listed responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or other quantitative fields of study from an accredited college or university.
  • Typically 5+ years' experience in a related field.

  • MBA

  • Oil industry experience and knowledge
