Job DescriptionThe
Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and managing enterprise agreements and
sourcing strategies for both commodities and quoted material packages.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Project Management, and Scheduling to get pricing+ lead time on quoted packages.
• Develop and manage the project procurement log during the late estimating phase, tracking major material packages and long-lead items from preconstruction through procurement and final project delivery.
• Database all project quotes using procurement log to provide enterprise view of vendor spends/commitments.
• Ensure estimating and scheduling teams have lead times on long lead items
• Identify any long-lead or non-standard items and propose alternatives prior to contract award
• Forecast future demand for material to negotiate pricing, terms, and rebate programs with key distributors, manufacturers, and vendors.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to execute purchase orders for quoted packages on awarded projects.
• Develop and manage enterprise agreements and sourcing strategies for both commodities and quoted material packages, including oversight of copper and steel future contracts and related market data tracking.
• Ensure the estimating department uses the most up-to-date pricing data when bidding and budgeting projects.
• Partner with estimating and preconstruction to identify early material needs and standardization opportunities.
• Use Excel, Power BI, and Power Platform tools to scorecard spend, pricing trends, and supplier
performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports to share cost, forecast, and market insights with leadership.
• Monitor market trends and communicate updates across major product lines and material categories.
Education:Required:- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
Qualifications, Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of purchasing, project management, or supply chain experience (electrical or construction industry preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or similar data and automation tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Workday, Foundation, Vista, Remarkable, or similar).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across departments.
