Strategic Planning & Operations Sr Mgr - Global Customer Capabilities & Innovation

Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL site. You will work on-site a minimum of 3 days a week.

What you will do

In this vital role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Strategic Planning & Operations and the GCCI Leadership Team. You will help translate strategy into execution by driving business planning, operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, governance, and transformation initiatives across GCCI.

This highly visible role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and organizational leadership. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor and force multiplier for leaders, helping drive alignment, accountability, and business outcomes across a complex and rapidly evolving global organization.

Specific responsibilities include:

1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with GCCI leadership and key business partners to support the execution of GCCI priorities and strategic objectives. Actively track progress against annual goals and key initiatives, monitor milestones, identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities, and provide recommendations that support leadership decision-making and successful strategy execution.

2. Business Planning & Performance Management: Partner with Finance, HR, and leadership teams to support annual planning, budget management, workforce planning, and resource allocation activities. Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting to monitor financial performance, organizational health, and progress against strategic objectives, while providing data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership.

3. Operational Support: Coordinate GCCI leadership team activities and operating rhythms to advance strategic objectives. Partner with the Director to develop and manage action plans, governance processes, and initiatives that drive meaningful business impact. Support the translation of business priorities into clear deliverables, timelines, and execution plans, ensuring timely follow-through, accountability, and alignment across stakeholders.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate execution of key cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across functions, business units, and geographies. Organize and coordinate leadership meetings, workshops, planning sessions, and events with clear objectives, action plans, and follow-up activities. Manage stakeholder coordination to ensure alignment, visibility, and effective communication across workstreams.

5. Project Oversight & Execution: Coordinate and project manage key GCCI initiatives and transformation efforts, ensuring seamless execution in support of organizational priorities. Track milestones, deliverables, KPIs, risks, and dependencies across workstreams, driving accountability, timely delivery, and proactive escalation of issues requiring leadership attention.

6. Leadership Team & Planning Support: Coordinate materials, stakeholder inputs, and readiness for key leadership meetings, planning forums, town halls, and executive engagements. Synthesize information, maintain visibility to key decisions and actions, and drive follow-through against leadership priorities while supporting leadership team effectiveness and organizational alignment.

7. Organizational Effectiveness & Transformation: Drive initiatives that strengthen GCCI ways of working, improve organizational effectiveness, and support the evolution of GCCI's operating model. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, enhance collaboration, and accelerate adoption of innovative technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and new ways of working that improve business outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years ofStrategic Planning & Operations experience OR

  • Masters degree and 4 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience OR

  • Bachelors degree and 6 years ofStrategic Planning & Operations experience OR

  • Associates degree and 10 years ofStrategic Planning & Operations experience OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience

  • Experience supporting senior leaders or leadership teams in a Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff, Business Operations, Consulting, or Program Management capacity

  • Experience supporting business planning, budget management, workforce planning, resource allocation, and performance management processes.

  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen

  • Exceptional project management skills

  • Ability to drive execution across highly matrixed organizations

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong executive communication and presentation development skills

  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and business performance reporting

  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into actionable insights and recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority

  • Experience managing organizational change and transformation initiatives

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
