The impact you'll makeAt Lam, as a Strategic Commodity Manager, you play a crucial role in managing industry suppliers. You'll develop and implement commodity strategies, align development deliverables, benchmark suppliers, negotiate agreements, and resolve delivery, cost, and production challenges. Navigating a highly visible and dynamic environment, your strategic expertise in implementing initiatives will support commodity availability, quality, and cost to maintain Lam's reliability and competitive edge.
What you'll do- Develop, align, and implement commodity strategy.
- Understand the commodity landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces.
- Negotiate, manage, and maintain supplier agreements that provide optimal terms.
- Direct new supplier engagement and/or disengagement requirements to the Lam supply base.
- Collaborate across the Lam organization to ensure business objectives are met.
- Identify potential supply issues and communicate findings to senior leaders.
- Drive resolution of systemic supply chain issues affecting cost, delivery, quality, service, and development support.
- Optimize supply chain/supplier performance through cost, capacity scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Excellent analytical and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization, including executive level.
- Influence skills: experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critial thinking ideas and concepts.
- Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and business processes.
Who we're looking for- Bachelor's degree in Business or a technical field listed herein (but not limited to) the following: Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, with 12 years of related experience; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or 5 years and a PhD; or equivalent experience.
- 12 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Operations, or production/planning environment. Preferably in the Semiconductor industry.
- Ability to understand Power Supply technical documents (i.e., specifications/schematics/drawings) and function within semiconductor manufacturing tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables.
- Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of successful resolution.
- Excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization, including executives.
Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
SalaryCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min $137,000 - Max $287,000.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
