Job Description: Storage AdministratorPosition: Storage Administrator Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Storage Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining enterprise storage infrastructure. The role involves managing Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), backup and recovery solutions, storage performance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery to ensure the availability, security, and integrity of organizational data.
Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, and maintain enterprise storage systems and infrastructure.
- Administer SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage (DAS) environments.
- Provision, allocate, and manage storage volumes, LUNs, and file systems.
- Configure and maintain Fibre Channel (FC), iSCSI, and NVMe storage connectivity.
- Monitor storage performance, utilization, and capacity, and recommend improvements.
- Perform storage provisioning, expansion, migration, and data replication.
- Implement and manage backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot storage hardware, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Configure storage snapshots, cloning, deduplication, compression, and tiering technologies.
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and cloud storage environments.
- Maintain storage security, encryption, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management for storage systems.
- Develop and maintain storage documentation, operational procedures, and capacity reports.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, server, database, and application teams to support business operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience administering enterprise storage environments.
- Strong knowledge of:

- Pure Storage FlashArray
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions such as:
- Veritas NetBackup
- Veeam Backup & Replication
- Commvault
- Dell EMC Networker
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and storage integration.
- Understanding of Linux and Windows server administration.
- Knowledge of storage monitoring and performance analysis tools.
Preferred Skills - Experience with cloud storage services on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of storage automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with object storage technologies such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, or compatible platforms.
- Understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise infrastructure management.
