Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the design development of one of the BSVII transit stations.
- Coordinate the inputs of Lead Architect, Architect of Record, structural engineers, MEP engineers, rail systems, and civil engineering teams in developing the detailed design of the stations.
- Coordinate with other design packages to identify and delineate the requirements and responsibilities of each construction contract package.
- Coordinate with the Digital Delivery team responsible for the management and administration of the model-based design environment.
- Manage schedule and budgets of internal MMW staff and sub-consultants in the development of design.
- Coordinate and review proposed engineering scope and configuration changes and document contract amendments.
- Communicate with the Project Controls team to assure compatibility and continuity of information from all project interfaces.
- Work with the Quality Manager to ensure that the MMW Design Quality Management Plan is followed.
- Serve as a liaison and coordinate with PMT's Facilities Engineering Manager, and with VTA's External Affairs Team in matters related to the station.
- Other duties as assigned to meet project requirements and objectives, and to ensure a cooperative team approach.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Architecture required.
- State of California Professional Engineer (PE) or Architectural Registration (RA) license preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in multi-disciplinary design engineering, preferably transit projects.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
