OverviewLutron Electronics is seeking a Standards Development professional to engage with national and international standards and regulatory bodies. In this role, you will collaborate with external standards committees, organizations, and regulators to help shape future codes, standards, and/or regulations to best support our customers, company, and industry. Responsibilities include influencing standards and regulatory developments, monitoring global changes, and communicating impacts to internal stakeholders.
The position will focus on advancing Lutron's strategy in standards and regulations related to lighting, motorized shades, and building management systems, while supporting global advocacy efforts and driving opportunities within building codes and performance standards.
Responsibilities - Represent Lutron in national and international standards, regulatory, industry, and government forums.
- Influence standards and regulations to support the best outcomes for Lutron and our customers.
- Maintain and strengthen Lutron's leadership in key industry and professional organizations, supporting standards and regulatory development to ensure market access and drive business growth.
- Monitor and communicate regulatory trends and updates to internal cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring organizational readiness and alignment.
- Operate in alignment with Lutron's culture and values.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a standards development, regulatory, industry relations or technical field.
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned OR10+ years of professional experience post academics.
- Experience in electronics industries such as lighting controls, motorized/automated shades, and/or building systems.
- 20% - 25% travel is required, including to industry committee meetings and Lutron locations.
- Understanding of standards development process preferred.
