MissionThe Structural Engineer provides technical engineering services related to the design, analysis, verification and assessment of structural systems and components across a broad range of projects, including buildings, infrastructure and industrial facilities. The role contributes to feasibility studies, basic and detailed design, technical reviews and construction support activities, ensuring that engineering solutions are safe, compliant, technically sound and aligned with applicable codes, standards, project specifications and regulatory requirements. Operating as a fully functioning and self-sufficient contributing professional, the Structural Engineer supports project execution through direct technical responsibility on assigned scopes of work under general supervision.
Key AccountabilitiesTechnical Engineering Activities- Design, analyse, verify and technically assess structural works and components across different project types, including buildings, infrastructure, foundations and industrial structural systems.
- Review and contribute to engineering documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable structural codes and standards, and internal procedures.
- Support certification, verification and engineering consultancy activities within the assigned technical scope, where applicable.
Structural Analysis & Design Support- Perform structural analyses and calculations using recognised engineering methodologies and tools to evaluate loads, pressures, stresses and structural behaviour.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, concept design, basic design, detailed design and technical assessments for projects of moderate complexity.
- Apply engineering judgement to support safe, efficient and cost-effective structural solutions.
Project Documentation & Technical Reporting- Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculation packages, technical notes and reports.
- Contribute to technical reports, progress updates, design narratives and presentations in accordance with internal standards and client requirements
- Summarise and report assigned engineering activities to senior technical staff and project teams.
Project Execution & Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Support project teams by providing technical problem-solving during design development, procurement and construction phases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and integration of structural solutions within the overall project.
- Interface, as required, with internal and external stakeholders on technical matters related to the assigned scope.
Site Support, Inspections & Technical Evaluation
- Conduct or support site inspections, field visits and technical assessments to verify implementation, monitor progress and evaluate structural conditions.
- Support the evaluation of existing structures, foundations and structural components where required.
- Assist in resolving technical issues arising during project execution and site activities.
Quality, Safety & Compliance- Ensure that all engineering activities are performed in compliance with applicable regulations, health and safety requirements, quality standards and internal governance rules.
- Participate in internal technical reviews, checks, audits and verification processes.
- Support the identification of technical risks and contribute to the definition of appropriate mitigation measures within own scope of responsibility.
Knowledge Sharing & Technical Support- Provide technical input and task-level guidance to junior engineers and technical staff within assigned projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
- Support the development and maintenance of technical guidelines, methodologies and best practices.
