Job Description

Dewberry is seeking a Staff Structural - Bridge Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to work in our New York, NY office. The candidate will assist with bridge design (steel and concrete) and a variety of civil structures (retaining walls, foundations and other miscellaneous structures).  Individual will help perform structural modeling and analysis, structural calculation, load ratings, and plans production. Individual may also conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting. 

 

Responsibilities
  • Perform Structural Analysis and design
  • Prepare calculations , drawings, and specifications using relevant codes and standards
  • Conduct site visits for inspections, assessments and meeting as required.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Assist in project plans, schedule, and budget preparation
  • Utilize structural engineering Software ( CSiBridge , etc.)
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Structural Engineering required; MS preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years experience required
  • EIT is preferred.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
  • Strong skills in technical communication and plan preparation.
  • Proficiency using CADD (Microstation and/or AUTOCAD) preferred.
  • Proficiency using Microsof Office required.
  • Desire to work in a team enviornment.
  • A clean driving record is required.

The projected range for this position is $76,038-$109,983 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
