Job Summary

The Pharmacy Hub is building a modern, high-quality sterile compounding operation, and we're looking for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to be part of the team that prepares our sterile medications day to day.

In this role you'll spend your time in the cleanroom doing the hands-on work of sterile compounding - preparing accurate, compliant preparations, verifying prescriptions, and following the SOPs and USP standards that keep patients safe. You'll work under the Pharmacist-in-Charge / sterile lead, who sets the workflow, training, and quality program. This is a great fit for a detail-oriented pharmacist who loves the craft of sterile compounding and wants to do it well.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Compound sterile preparations: accurately prepare sterile medications following master formulation and batch records, using proper aseptic technique.
  • Verify and check: review prescriptions and compounded products for accuracy, appropriate dosing, and compliance with USP chapters before dispensing.
  • Follow SOPs and USP standards: work in accordance with USP and , including garbing, aseptic technique, beyond-use dating, and hazardous-drug handling.
  • Support environmental monitoring: participate in cleaning, disinfection, and environmental and personnel monitoring activities per the program.
  • Document thoroughly: maintain complete, accurate records - batch records, logs, and qualification documentation.
  • Maintain cleanroom standards: help keep the compounding environment inspection-ready and compliant at all times.
  • Collaborate: work closely with pharmacy technicians, other pharmacists, and the sterile lead to keep production accurate and on schedule.

Qualifications
  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing; eligible to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge in Florida (Florida license, or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with sterile compounding and aseptic processing (typically 2+ years)

Skills:
  • Working knowledge of USP and
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and patient safety
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a cleanroom environment
  • Good communicator and reliable team member

Additional Skills and Competencies
  • 503A and/or 503B experience
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and media-fill testing
  • Hospital IV-room or high-volume compounding experience
  • Familiarity with electronic batch records and pharmacy systems
  • Background in mail-order or high-volume pharmacy

Technical and Regulatory Environment
  • Cleanroom / ISO-classified environment, primary and secondary engineering controls, HEPA filtration,environmental monitoring, aseptic processing.
  • Standards: USP (Sterile Preparations), USP (Hazardous Drugs), Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements, and DEA requirements where controlled substances are involved.

Cognitive and Physical Demands
  • Cognitive: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to focus during extended shifts.
  • Physical: Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods. May require manual handling of medications and equipment as needed.

This role requires flexibility to accommodate pharmacy operations and meet patient demands.

$150,000-$175,000 USD
