We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Staff Sourcing Specialist to join the Strategic Costing & Analysis team within the Procurement organization, supporting our Datacenter and Custom Silicon business. In this role, you will develop product cost models and scenario analyses that enable accurate financial planning, inform pricing decisions, support competitive customer bids, and drive profitable growth across our Datacenter and Custom Silicon portfolio.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Development teams to evaluate product cost structures, assess technology and manufacturing trade-offs, and provide actionable insights that support critical business and investment decisions. Your analyses will help establish a clear understanding of product costs, enabling the business to make informed pricing decisions, develop competitive customer proposals, and pursue growth opportunities with confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain product cost models, forecasts, and business scenarios to support strategic planning, customer proposals, and profitability analysis.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate product costs and identify optimization opportunities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis to support technology selection, product feature decisions, manufacturing strategies, and roadmap planning.
  • Analyze key cost drivers across semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, test, and supply chain operations to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor cost performance, identify variances, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and presentations that translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives, including organizing and systematizing data from many sources into a single repository.


Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, finance, cost engineering, business analysis, supply chain, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing financial models, cost analyses, forecasts, and business case evaluations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and scenario analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry, including procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost engineering, or manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor foundry services, SAT providers, advanced packaging, wafer fabrication, or semiconductor supply chains.
  • Understanding of semiconductor cost drivers, including wafer pricing, yield impacts, packaging costs, test costs, and process technology trade-offs.
  • Experience with datacenter products and infrastructure, including servers, accelerators, networking, storage, and related hardware platforms, with an understanding of the key cost drivers and economics across the datacenter ecosystem.
  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, TM1/Cognos, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated success working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 6+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$104,000.00 - $156,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
