What you'll do...

Role summary:
The Staff, Software Engineer plays a critical role in delivering scalable platform capabilities and driving the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. This position leads technical execution aligned with strategic roadmaps, applies cloud-native architecture principles, and integrates AI/ML solutions to enhance platform functionality. The role involves mentoring engineers, influencing architectural decisions, and collaborating across teams to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions. A commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and effective communication ensures the delivery of high-quality, sustainable software products that support business objectives.

What you'll do:
  • Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
  • Lead full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Apply cloud-native architecture principles to enhance system agility and performance.
  • Conduct system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and automation features.
  • Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and track success metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation, error correction, and knowledge sharing.


What you'll bring:
  • 7+ years of professional experience in various elements of full stack software development - native mobile, web front end, back end, and hands-on coding experience in the past
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, observability, and maintenance.
  • Previous knowledge of designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Experience with Android SDK, Services, and various methods of background processing
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills to define metrics and optimize engineering processes.
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies and complex system contexts.

Sunnyvale, California US-11658: The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
