Full Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Clinical (Staff) Psychologists at CVPH may provide psychological services to patients seen in one or more clinical sites, including inpatient psychiatric, medical-surgical, or rehabilitation units; emergency department, outpatient programs; and general, primary and/or specialty clinics. Specific duties are determined by site, in alignment with network departmental goals and objectives. Services may include diagnostic evaluations, focused clinical assessment, psychological intervention, staff consultation, clinical supervision, program development and oversight. Clinical psychologists may also participate in multidisciplinary organizational initiatives and program evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from APA/CPA accredited program or equivalent. Doctorate from APA/CPA accredited Counseling Psychology program may be considered if training is commensurate with role requirements.
2. Clinical License in New York State as a clinical psychologist.
3. Postgraduate experience in a clinical psychiatric setting which included clinical supervision by a licensed clinician.

4. Training and experience working with patients with needs and behavioral challenges to be addressed.

5. Previous experience supervising Clinical Psychology graduate students, interns/ residents and/or postdoctoral fellows.
