Full Job Description
About the Role

SevenRooms is the operating system for hospitality - powering reservations, CRM, marketing, waitlist, and table management for restaurants, hotels, and venues around the world. We are building towards a team of makers, builders, and doers: designers who ship production-quality work themselves, using AI-powered tools to close the gap between design and code.

As a Staff Product Designer, you will operate across SevenRooms' product surfaces rather than own a single fixed team from day one - we will place you where your strengths create the most leverage as our design org grows. Wherever you land, your primary impact is making the team around you faster and more autonomous: you build reusable workflows, shared tools, and decision frameworks that let every designer operate at a higher level with less coordination overhead. Your secondary impact is revenue: the speed and quality gains you unlock translate directly into more experiments shipped, faster iteration cycles, and measurable business outcomes across your team and adjacent teams.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
  • Define projects with a clear point of view on what to build, writing briefs that synthesize business and customer inputs into roadmap milestones; balance customer needs, business goals, and feasibility to shape what your team builds and why
  • Bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-team problems and turn them into actionable work that ships; drive prioritization across your team and adjacent teams, making tradeoffs between design quality, speed, and impact so the highest-leverage work moves first
  • Shape key projects from concept through execution - staying close enough to resolve issues during iteration, guiding design direction, and shipping work that drives measurable outcomes across multiple teams; produce high-fidelity designs and production-ready prototypes that set the craft standard for the team
  • Design solutions spanning multiple workflows and contribute to shared tools - prompt libraries, component generators, workflow automations - that improve productivity across teams; mentor peers on responsible AI use and contribute reusable frameworks adopted beyond your own team
  • Build trusted relationships across your team and adjacent product teams, influencing their roadmaps through evidence-based thinking and live prototypes that make your recommendations concrete; pursue consistent self-improvement and flex into raising team outcomes
  • Multiply team capacity through mentorship, recruiting, and inclusive practices that raise the bar across the design org
We're excited about you because...

Experience: - Track record of shipping work that drives measurable outcomes at scale across multiple teams - Body of work demonstrating craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence - shipped features, working prototypes, or open source tools alongside traditional design artifacts - Demonstrated scope: shaped team-level priorities, built tools or systems used by multiple designers, influenced adjacent roadmaps

Skills: - Exceptional visual and interaction design craft - your work sets the standard and inspires others to raise theirs - Build-first fluency - you reach for code editors and LLM-powered tools as naturally as design tools, prototyping in production and contributing meaningfully to the codebase - Product thinking that defines what to build by synthesizing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into a clear brief - Systems thinking at scale - you design solutions that work across teams and workflows, and you build the shared tooling that operationalizes them

Mindset: - Builder who multiplies - you don't just ship your own work faster, you build the tools and workflows that make everyone around you faster - Comfort with ambiguity at scale - you navigate unclear problems across multiple teams and create clarity through shipped artifacts, not slide decks

Bonus: - Has already built internal tools, prompt libraries, or workflow automations that other designers use - Track record of mentorship where people you coached advanced their careers and adopted new ways of working - Background in hospitality tech, marketplace products, or other high-growth consumer/B2B platforms
