Full Job Description
About the role
Sales software was built for humans. We believe agents will do most sales work within the next two years. Reps already spend 4+ hours a day in Nooks across AI Dialer, AI Prospecting, AI Sequencing, and Agent Studio - and each of those grew up as its own product.
We're hiring a staff product designer to turn them into one workspace, and to define what it looks like for a person and a team of agents to sell together. Nobody has designed this yet. You'll be the one to do it. This is an IC role, working closely with our head of design.
What you'll do
Set the design direction for the Agent Workspace. Define the interaction model, information architecture, and core patterns that unify our product lines. Make the calls other designers and engineers build against.
Design the human-agent loop. When should an agent act on its own, ask first, or hand work back? How does a rep review what agents did across 500 accounts overnight, fix what's wrong, and trust them more tomorrow? Turn model capabilities and failure modes into interfaces reps rely on all day.
Ship end to end, in code. Go from a customer problem to production. Prototype and build with real model output, ship front-end changes alongside engineers, sweat the details. Agree on the success metric with your PM and iterate until it moves.
Work directly with customers. Our biggest accounts have shared Slack channels with the team. You'll join calls, shadow reps during dial sessions, and watch how teams actually use what you shipped.
Raise the design bar across the company. Partner with our head of design to shape how a small team works: evolve the design system, run the hardest crits, raise the craft of the designers around you, and help us hire as the team grows.
You might be a strong fit if
8+ years of product design experience, including time leading design for a meaningful product area, as a founding designer, or as the designer others turn to.
A portfolio of shipped work on complex, high-frequency tools - products people live in for hours a day, like B2B workflow, productivity, developer, or pro tools.
You've shipped AI-powered features. You've designed around non-deterministic output, latency, and errors, and you've worked with engineers on prompts or evals to improve the experience.
You're a systems thinker with taste. You can move from platform architecture to a hover state in the same afternoon.
You build in code. You prototype and ship front-end work daily with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, and you're comfortable in a production React/TypeScript codebase.
Strong opinions, held loosely, about what human-agent collaboration should look like.
Not afraid to hop on a call with a customer to validate something you just designed. Sales domain experience is a plus, not a requirement.
You make the rest of the company faster.
Based in San Francisco, excited to be in-office 3+ days per week.
Great designers don't always match every line here. If the problem excites you, apply.
At Nooks, you'll enjoy
A world-class team. 3 designers and ~40 engineers, mostly former founders, founding engineers, and veteran builders from places like Applied Intuition, Scale, Uber, Citadel, and Jane Street.
A product still being figured out. We don't fully know what sales looks like when agents do most of the work. The people who join now help decide - and in this role, you draw it.
