Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, focusing on mechanical design.
Experience owning multiple powertrain systems from concept to full life cycle in automotive.
Demonstrated expertise with Electric Drive Units (EDUs) and Internal Combustion (IC) engines.
Deep understanding of powertrain manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (preferably CATIA) and FEA, including stress analysis and thermal simulations.
Strong communication skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities

Full Job Description
What You'll Do:
Lead the design and development of key systems within the powertrain, covering Electric and Internal Combustion.
Break down complex technical challenges into smaller components and support junior engineers in delivering solutions.
Set standards and create best practices for others to follow in technical tasks (FEA, design guidelines, hand calculations etc).
Support the in-service products, leading failure investigations and cost-down exercises.
Work closely with manufacturing and quality to ensure the consistent output of our powertrain products, while supporting production ramp ups, supplier changes etc.
Deliver high quality, independent work.
Take in, process and communicate complex technical information to a wide audience.
