Full Job Description
As a Staff Field Applications Engineer, you play a critical role in building trusted technical partnerships with key customers and ecosystem partners. You will lead account-level technology strategy, guide solution design, and help customers optimize system architectures across Micron's portfolio. This is a highly visible role that blends deep technical expertise, customer engagement, and cross-functional leadership!
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
• Act as a trusted advisor to our customers by providing memory architecture advice, memory product recommendations, delivering technical training, and developing solutions.
• Regularly visit customers to identify new business, discuss ongoing projects including areas of concern & future needs
• Provide customer technical support; be the central point of contact during critical issues between customer and factory teams, work with multi-functional groups until issue resolution has been delivered to the customer
• Work with internal marketing and development teams to evaluate feasibility of specific new products or features and ensure customer specifications are met.
• Work closely with Sales to develop and execute a strategic plan & track progress to key objectives
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors in electrical engineering or related field of study
• Proven ability in system design, system test, system validation, and/or memory focusedapplication engineering.
• Experienced with memories in Automotive or Embedded systems including LP5x, LP6, UFS, embedded SSD.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working as an applications engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$163,200.00 $276,800.00 a year
