DescriptionStaff Evidence Planning & Claims Manager translates Verily's corporate and commercial strategy into a prioritized, defensible evidence generation roadmap in partnership with the Director of Evidence Generation. This role sits with the Verily EvGen Committee (VEC) and is accountable for the strategic and analytical backbone that makes evidence and claims dissemination decisions objective, consistent, and business-aligned.
This role brings an external lens to every roadmap decision — competitive intelligence on the claims competitors are making and the evidence gaps that expose Verily commercially or clinically — and ensures that once evidence is validated, it reaches the right audiences through the right channel, in the right modality, at the right time. Concretely, this means owning and operating the Research Prioritization Scorecard end to end.
Responsibilities- Roadmap stewardship — maintain the EvGen roadmap as the connective layer between corporate strategy, product/commercial priorities, and the evidentiary claims Verily needs to make in the market.
- Evidence Gap via Competitive Intelligence and Differentiation Strategy — translate competitive intelligence and outcomes benchmarking into the offensive and defensive evidence-gap that determines prioritization for: Verily claims.
- Scorecard administration — operate the Research Prioritization Scorecard as the single, repeatable mechanism for ranking RWE, clinical studies, registries, and AI/data-science validation work on common terms.
- Multimodal pathway expertise — advise study teams across the full set of channels through which validated claims reach their audience (peer-reviewed publication, congresses, preprints, KOL and medical affairs, sales enablement, payer- and customer-facing collateral, executive readouts), matching each claim to the modality and audience that will land it most effectively; and, support the manuscript publication end to end process.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- 7+ years in evidence strategy, HEOR, real-world evidence, medical affairs, or research operations, with direct exposure to how evidence decisions connect to commercial and product strategy.
- Demonstrated experience building or operating a research/evidence prioritization framework, scoring rubric, or portfolio-governance process across competing stakeholders.
- Working fluency in competitive intelligence for evidence and clinical claims, and the ability to translate it into prioritization decisions.
- Deep familiarity with evidence dissemination pathways and their tradeoffs — peer-reviewed publication and ICMJE norms, congresses, commercial/sales enablement — and judgment about which modality fits which claim and audience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in health sciences, health policy, public health, health economics, or a related field.
- Background in a regulated health, life sciences, digital health, or AI-enabled clinical products environment.
- Familiarity with IRB/human-subjects routing, statistical analysis plans, or clinical study design sufficient to engage credibly with methods-review bodies.
- Comfort with quantitative scoring tools (weighted rubrics, spreadsheet-based scorecards) and communicating the rationale behind a ranking to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong influence without requiring formal decision authority.
