As a Staff Engineer, you will lead full-stack development across the Edwin product line, including the design and architecture of large-scale distributed systems.
You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that prioritize security, scalability, performance, and operational excellence while driving business outcomes.
This is a high impact role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, reporting directly to the CTO.
Responsibilities- Lead full-stack development, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
- Inform, design, and architect AI-enabled distributed systems that are highly scalable, reliable, secure, and optimized for correctness, accuracy, and performance
- Provide technical leadership, partnering with product, engineering, and stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals while optimizing project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Establish and enforce best practices for system architecture, security, SOC 2 compliance, monitoring, and operational efficiency
- Drive continuous delivery, observability and incident management, with a strong focus on operational excellence
- Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a high-performing engineering culture
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of experience, with at least 4 years in a senior, lead, or staff engineering role
- Leading engineering teams in startup environments from 0-1 and/or hyper-growth
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating AI-enabled distributed systems
- Expertise in TypeScript and Node
- Proficiency with React and the React ecosystem
- Track record of building secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems with a focus on operational excellence
Bonus Qualifications- Public sector, govtech, or regulated fintech experience
- Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems, including banking, fund management, general ledger, and month-end close
Pay and Benefits- Annual base salary range of $190,000-$225,000, dependant on experience and demonstrated scope of impact
