We are hiring for an experienced professional to join our team as a Staff Engineer and contribute to our multi-discipline design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Princeton, NJ. This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of private and public site development projects across various markets!
Primary Responsibilities:- Perform site design work; this includes site layout, grading, utilities-oriented tasks (e.g.: water & sanitary sewer systems), and public street design.
- Perform site evaluations for land development feasibility.
- Assist with stormwater management [SWM]: design stormwater piping systems, assist with Erosion & Sediment Control [ESC], review retention / detention, and implement Best Management Practices [BMP's], when necessary.
- Review of local municipal ordinances as well as county & state regulations.
- Assist the design team in preparation of plans for permitting and construction.
- Assist with the preparation of permit applications.
- Assist with the preparation of engineering reports; this involves presenting technical information to demonstrate compliance with client requirements and/or regulatory requirements.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering).
- 4+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with land development projects.
- Knowledge to stormwater management design calculations and software
Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Please note that we are willing to consider a higher-level position for a candidate that qualifies with additional experience accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications:- P.E. license in NJ is preferred.
- Experience working on land development and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, project management software, etc.); exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bluebeam is a plus!
- Experience with stormwater management (SWM) design calculations, especially while utilizing H&H modeling tools.
- Proficiency on standard office software applications: Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Proven ability to look at the "Big Picture" as well the project goals in order to coordinate various design disciplines accordingly.
- Proven track record of demonstrating punctuality with consistent attendance.
- Proven ability to work in an energetic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player, especially while maintaining the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
TARGET SALARY RANGE: $80K - $105k (per year)
