We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The SSL/TLS Certificate Management Specialist will administer and maintain Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security certificate management and renewal as part of the Network Engineering Team. This ensures we deliver secure network capability that supports the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.

Responsibilities:

• You will provide network engineering services to optimize and standardize LAN networks at DoS facilities, incorporating modern tools and technologies.
• You will coordinate with DoS Networking Teams to engineer upgrades to WAN links connecting CONUS and OCONUS customer facilities, ensuring modernized connectivity and improved bandwidth.
• Additionally, you will design and implement high-availability load balancing, denial of service detection and remediation, and dynamic service health checks to maximize availability of all public-facing websites in the public DMZs, leveraging modern network technologies.
• You will be required to monitor permissions and audit logs for governance violations and report them.
• You will be responsible for managing and updating all guides, KM articles, and SOPs related to the customer’s SSL/TLS Certificate Management processes and systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

• 4+ years
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• Secret Security Clearance 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)

If hired for this position, the base salary range would be within the range provided. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to work location, skills, experience, gov con contractual requirements, and performance.
