Full Job Description
Position Overview:

The Senior A&E Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and managing a profitable portfolio of large Architects & Engineers Professional Liability business, including large practice policies and project specific business. This role includes risk assessment, relationship management, and collaborating with brokers to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and underwrite new and renewal Architects & Engineers Professional Liability risks in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
  • Evaluate exposures, review applications, loss histories, and supplemental information to determine eligibility and pricing.
  • Develop and maintain strong agency and broker relationships to drive business growth.
  • Negotiate terms, coverage, and pricing to secure desirable new business and renewals.
  • Collaborate with the underwriting team, claims, and actuarial departments to ensure sound risk management practices.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and adjust strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and industry events as a representative of Twin Maples Specialty.
