Job Title: Sr. Team Leader
Reports to: General Manager
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drive a culture of service.
• Ensure each employee emulates exemplary guest service, creating a welcoming guest experience that leaves them happier than when they came in.
• Be able to appropriately handle difficult guest issues, with a fair resolution in mind, taking into account both our business and the guests expectations.
Drive a culture of sales.
• Ensure each employee understands our sales goals and their role in driving sales.
• Supports the team with understanding how to upsell in a manner that is guest focused.
• Help administer new product launches, promotions and seasonal events by ensuring teams are well versed in changes, utilizing training tools when applicable.
• Replenish and merchandise pastry and beverage displays, teaching others to do the same.
• Partners with management on daily and monthly inventory to ensure accuracy with product and ingredients on hand.
• Learn and understand all company policies and hold yourself and your team accountable to these expectations.
• Support manager to deliver companywide communication to all employees and reinforce company and brand messages.
• Responsible for a thorough understanding of the Point of Sale (POS) system and teaching and troubleshooting as needed.
• Responsible for accuracy with all cash handling procedures and processes and holding the team accountable to the same.
• Responsible for executing private events, catering and special orders, with support from the team.
• Responsible for ensuring general store operations are aligned to company policy and brand standards.
• Responsible for being an excellent coach and ensuring the team is clear on expectations; providing timely feedback when needed to coach performance up.
• Partner with training and management to ensure employees are onboarded properly to the company.
• Work with management to support all employees are trained for the roles they are in, with a focus on Guest Service and upselling.
• Work with management to ensure all compliance training is completed in a timely manner.
• Work with management to ensure schedules are completed, posted and understood by the team.
• Partner with HR and management on any incidents with Guests or employees following the incident reporting process.
• Ensure menu items adhere to product quality. Taste test products and share feedback as necessary.
• Responsible for ensuring the assignment and completion of all daily, weekly, monthly checklists.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED or Some College
• At least 2-4 years of food handling experience.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong understanding of café/restaurant operations, product quality standards, and fundamentals of guest experience.
• Experience with POS systems; Toast experience is a plus.
• Solid grasp of inventory planning, waste control, and basic P&L understanding.
