Job DescriptionPlay a critical role in the lifecycle management of cellular analysis, cell sorting, and laboratory automation technologies as a Systems Engineer. This role requires a systems-level perspective to evaluate issues across complex, integrated products, understanding how software, hardware, QC reagents, manufacturing processes, and customer workflows interact to influence product performance, quality, reliability, and the customer experience. The engineer will apply scientific methods, experimental design, and statistical analysis to troubleshoot issues, develop test strategies, propose and refine product specifications, strengthen quality monitoring systems, and support technology development.
Success in this role requires the ability to integrate information across multiple engineering disciplines, including software, mechanical, electrical, fluidics, optics, and reagent technologies, to characterize system-level functionality and performance. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of leading and participating in cross-functional investigations and/or programs, influencing technical decisions, and delivering results in a collaborative environment under defined timelines.
Role Responsibilities:- Support flow cytometry platforms, including system-level troubleshooting, change impact assessment, verification planning, investigation support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in bead reagent products and their application within flow cytometry systems and customer workflows.
- Support risk and hazard analysis, regulatory assessments, field actions, and/or technology transfer.
- Support characterization and integration activities for complex systems, evaluating interactions among hardware, software, reagents, and customer workflows.
- Develop and execute formal and informal test protocols. Use findings to drive data-driven decisions for design iterations, root cause determinations, corrective actions, and product and/or process improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of products, processes, specifications, and monitoring strategies.
- Work effectively and collaboratively in a cross functional team and with external partners to identify, communicate, and mitigate program needs at each product lifecycle.
