YOUR IMPACT

Senior Systems Administrator (Cloud) responsible for designing, Implementing and maintaining enterprise observability and monitoring stack across hybrid/cloud platforms. This role provides deep technical expertise, drives best practices, improves monitoring quality, and ensures high reliability, actionable alerting, and ITIL-aligned operations in collaboration with NOC, engineering teams, and leadership.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise monitoring platforms including OBM, NNMi, Zabbix, Prometheus, and Graylog.
  • Define and implement monitoring strategies, SLIs/SLOs, and alerting standards aligned with business objectives.
  • Act as the primary engineering escalation point, leading complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
  • Manage the deployment, upgrades, lifecycle, and overall health of monitoring infrastructure across global environments.
  • Drive automation using Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible for monitoring provisioning, configuration, and remediation.
  • Maintain monitoring data pipelines, exporters, collectors, discovery rules, and ensure platform reliability and performance.
  • Provide 24/7 Tier-3 support, participate in major incident calls, and ensure compliance with ITIL, GDPR, and DPZ standards.
  • Leverage AI-driven capabilities, including anomaly detection, AI-assisted troubleshooting, and AI copilots to improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise Observability and Monitoring platforms, including OBM, NNMi, Zabbix, Graylog, New Relic, and Dynatrace.
  • Strong expertise in NNMi, including network topology, polling strategies, SNMP, traps, and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Deep knowledge of Zabbix architecture, templates, event routing, automation, and Graylog pipeline design, parsing, and log ingestion.
  • Proven Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience with SLIs/SLOs, service reliability, incident management, and production operations.
  • Strong Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and large-scale production infrastructure knowledge.
  • Expertise in automation using Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, and integration with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL v3/v4, governance, GDPR, data protection regulations, and EMEA data residency requirements.
  • Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts with the ability to leverage LLM-based tools for troubleshooting, automation, and documentation.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $67,200 -110,400; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
