Key job responsibilities

Own Complex Solutions End-to-End - Lead the design, validation, and delivery of mission-critical architectures that merge deep technical expertise with business strategy to solve high-impact problems.

Lead Technical Strategy & Advocacy - Drive technical discussions with customer teams, diving into design choices, AWS best practices, and real-world use cases to align solutions with both technical excellence and business outcomes.

Prove Value Through Hands-On Innovation - Build proof-of-concept architectures and technical demonstrations that de-risk decisions and shorten the path from evaluation to production.

Build Reusable Technical Content - Create scalable assets - sample code, blogs, workshops, and presentations - that empower teams to implement best practices consistently.

Forge Consensus Across Stakeholders - Articulate clear technical and strategic visions, resolve conflicts, and drive unified execution across cross-functional teams.

Champion Customer Needs Back to AWS - Serve as the voice of your customer inside AWS, surfacing critical gaps and influencing service team roadmaps to benefit the broader financial services industry.

Multiply Impact Through Reuse - Modularize solutions and leverage existing assets to reduce time-to-value and amplify impact across the customer community.

A day in the life

Your day spans internal alignment meetings, customer architecture discussions, and hands-on experimentation with AWS services to solve financial services challenges - real-time payments, fraud detection, core banking modernization. Afternoons bring solutioning sessions where you craft architectures that meet complex regulatory, security, and resiliency requirements, followed by building proof-of-concepts to de-risk high-stakes decisions. Between engagements, you'll partner with AWS service teams to advocate for your customer's needs and influence roadmap priorities. You'll close your day evangelizing best practices across engineering, compliance, and C-suite stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals

- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

- Experience within financial services and payment institutions

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
