Full Job Description
Sr. Nexus Software Quality Integration Engineer

Engineering | Bay Area, CA | Full-Time

The Role

The Nexus program requires close alignment between Lucid and Nuro throughout the complete vehicle lifecycle. As the Sr. Nexus Software Quality Integration Engineer, you will serve as the primary Software Quality interface between both organizations, driving software quality, customer satisfaction, and delivery execution from pre-SOP development and launch readiness through SOP production support, OTA deployments, fleet operations, and post-SOP field support.

Based in the Bay Area, California, you will establish close working relationships with Nuro engineering, validation, operations, and program teams while coordinating with Lucid Digital Engineering and cross-functional partners. You will investigate software issues, organize technical evidence, track customer-requested features and delivery commitments, support validation, and provide clear quality and readiness updates to Lucid and Nuro leadership.

Success in the first 12 months means becoming the trusted Software Quality point of contact for Nexus, improving collaboration and responsiveness between Lucid and Nuro, reducing turnaround time for software issue investigation and resolution, strengthening visibility into software quality risks and readiness, and improving customer confidence through proactive communication, transparency, and effective issue management.

What you will find here that you will not find in a comparable role elsewhere is direct ownership of the Software Quality relationship for a strategic autonomous vehicle program, with influence across customer expectations, software engineering execution, launch readiness, production support, fleet operations, and post-SOP field quality.

What Youll Own

Nexus Software Quality Interface

Serve as the dedicated Software Quality representative for the Nexus program based in the Bay Area, California.

Act as the primary Software Quality interface between Nuro and Lucid engineering organizations.

Establish and maintain close working relationships with Nuro engineering, validation, operations, and program teams to support day-to-day collaboration and rapid issue resolution.

Participate in Nexus technical reviews, software evaluations, issue triage meetings, release readiness reviews, launch activities, and customer-facing discussions.

Software Issue Investigation & Technical Evidence

Investigate Nexus software issues raised by Nuro through collection and analysis of logs, telemetry, diagnostics, DTCs, PCAPs, CAN data, cloud telemetry, and vehicle signal information.

Coordinate with Lucid Digital Engineering teams to drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, software quality improvements, and issue resolution.

Facilitate timely capture and delivery of technical evidence required to support software investigations and customer communications.

Support validation activities to verify issue resolution effectiveness and customer-requested functionality.

Customer Commitments & Delivery Execution

Track customer-requested features, software requirements, issue reports, delivery commitments, and quality risks throughout the Nexus lifecycle.

Provide regular updates to Nuro regarding software issue status, bug-fix progress, feature implementation status, software readiness, and release plans.

Ensure alignment between Nuro expectations, Lucid commitments, and software delivery milestones.

Improve customer confidence through proactive communication, transparency, and effective issue management.

Lifecycle Software Quality Support

Support Nexus software quality activities throughout the complete lifecycle, including pre-SOP development, launch readiness, SOP production support, OTA deployments, fleet operations, and post-SOP field issue management.

Monitor Nexus software quality trends and recurring issues and drive escalations where required.

Support software release readiness, production support, OTA deployment quality, and post-launch quality activities.

Cross-Functional Integration & Risk Management

Partner with Software Development, Validation, Diagnostics, Cloud, Automation, Product Quality, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Service Engineering teams to proactively identify and reduce software quality risks.

Coordinate software issue investigations and corrective actions across multiple engineering organizations.

Drive alignment, accountability, and execution across large cross-functional organizations without direct reporting authority.

Translate customer concerns into actionable engineering priorities.

Leadership Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Provide software quality status, technical risk assessments, investigation findings, and readiness updates to Lucid and Nuro leadership teams.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve software quality, customer satisfaction, delivery execution, and overall Nexus program success.

Improve visibility into Nexus software quality risks, customer concerns, software readiness, customer-requested features, corrective actions, and delivery commitments.
