This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance. 2HB Incorporated is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. Description: 2HB is seeking a candidate who shall meet the following requirements. Required Skills: • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and modern software engineering best practices. • Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services supporting mission-critical applications and high-performance enterprise systems. • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot relational database solutions using MariaDB and other enterprise database technologies. • Support application modernization initiatives through containerization, Kubernetes deployments, and continuous improvements to system architecture. • Participate in technical design sessions, architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and Agile software development activities. • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to improve software quality, deployment efficiency, and operational reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams using Jira and Confluence while supporting the complete software development lifecycle. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Candidates without Bachelors degrees will require an additional 4 years of software engineering experience. • Minimum of twelve (12) years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. • Experience developing Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot or similar modern frameworks. • Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar technologies. • Experience with container technologies (Docker or Podman), Kubernetes, or other modern application deployment platforms. • Experience working in Agile development environments using Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
