Job Description:

The Impact You'll Make

At Danfoss, you'll work on oil-free centrifugal technologies powering high-growth applications like data centers and heat pumps. This role focuses on how products perform in the field, ensuring they deliver quality and reliability over time.

As a Senior Quality Engineer - Design for Quality (DfQ), you will connect field performance, customer feedback, and failure analysis back into engineering decisions. Your work ensures that quality, reliability, and customer expectations are not just designed-but continuously improved through data-driven insights.

Your work will strengthen how teams learn from failures, solve problems, and continuously improve products, driving better outcomes for customers and the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build a closed-loop quality system that turns field issues, customer feedback, and failures into stronger product requirements, design improvements, and release decisions
  • Lead and elevate 8D problem-solving practices, driving root cause validation, robust corrective actions, and continuous improvement across teams
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure quality and reliability are designed in, identifying risks early and strengthening validation strategies
  • Guide product release readiness, ensuring decisions are supported by clear risk assessments, completed testing, and actionable mitigation plans
  • Translate voice of customer (VOC), warranty data, and field performance into insights that improve design standards and future product outcomes


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality, reliability, or product engineering, including Design for Quality (DfQ), DFMEA, and validation planning
  • Proven expertise in 8D problem solving, root cause analysis, and working with field/warranty data (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Power BI). Six Sigma Black Belt certification Preferred.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without direct authority
  • Strong understanding of product development and design processes, with a focus on preventing quality issues early.
