Job Description:

The Impact You'll Make

As our new Product Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of innovation, designing and developing hydraulic cartridge valves and system solutions that our global customers depend on. You will transform customer needs into high-performance products, making a direct impact on the quality and reliability that define the Danfoss brand.

This is a role where you can truly own your work. You will manage design projects from the initial concept all the way through to production, turning your creative ideas into tangible solutions. You will collaborate with a passionate team to solve complex challenges and shape the future of fluid power technology.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will own the design and development of innovative hydraulic cartridge valves and components, managing projects from initial concept through to production release.
  • You will collaborate closely with Sales, Application Engineering, and customers to identify new opportunities and develop customized solutions that solve their unique challenges.
  • You will act as a key problem-solver, using methodologies like 8-D and Design of Experiments to enhance product functionality and resolve complex application or production issues.
  • You will partner with our Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to continuously improve product quality, reduce costs, and streamline production processes.
  • You will create and manage all necessary technical documentation, including product layouts, 3D models, and detailed drawings using CAD software.


What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or a related Engineering field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical component design.
  • Proven ability to manage design projects from concept to completion, with strong skills in parametric based CAD software (experience with NX Unigraphics is a plus).
  • A solid understanding of core engineering principles, with the ability to perform calculations related to fluid dynamics and spring design.
  • Experience using statistical tools or structured methodologies (like 8-D) for problem-solving, combined with a collaborative spirit and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, valves, or fluid power products is highly preferred.
