Full Job Description
Title: Sr. Specialist, Raw Material Procurement

Summary

In this position you will manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services. This role is responsible for sourcing and selecting global-level suppliers and maximizing investment efficiency, in order to improve the business competitiveness.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare origin and classification rulings
  • Verify the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S. (HTSUS) to correspond to customs duties for import
  • Determine the country-of-origin criterion under UKFTA, UJFTA, USMCA, and more
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and apply duty exemption schemes like Section 232 and 301 exclusions
  • Support Antidumping and Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD) and determine whether or not products are subject to the law
  • Respond to CBP inquiries, including CF-28, in a timely manner
  • Manage large data set to support and file manufacturing or unused merchandise drawback claims
  • Monitor the continuous customs bond annually
  • Manage the correction filings under the Post Summary Correction (PSC), Protest, and Prior Disclosure process
  • Manage certificates of origin applicable under the FTAs to comply with recordkeeping requirements
  • Handle set up of C-PTAT certification
  • Report entry records to headquarters on a monthly basis
  • Review the daily CF-7501 and CF-3461 documents and request immediately any necessary correction of discrepancies to the customer's broker
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    1. Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    2. Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Active Licensed Customs Broker

Experience:
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in Customs' compliance
