This is a hybrid position.

 

Job Summary

The Senior Production Planner is the focal point for both Master Planning and Supply Planning for their production line.  This person is responsible for translating supply plans for their products and customers into actionable schedules for the plants to execute on.  The Senior Production Planner will lead the day-to-day decision making for their product line(s), as well as looking further out to identify capacity opportunities or concerns.  This highly impactful and visible role will communicate and present with stakeholders and leaders across the organization.  This person will be a key owner of the weekly S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) process.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  • Work with multiple production sites to understand production capability, capacity and other considerations
  • Manage multi-step, multi-facility production process to achieve target inventory levels
  • Drive continuous improvements to the S&OE process
  • Be responsible for a product category/line across multiple business units
  • Meet with Manufacturing stakeholders to review production plans, address constraints, and balance sourcing and loading between sites
  • Plan timelines for Promotional needs for end to end process from graphic approval to production completion
  • Coordinate the cross-functional response when significant service or raw material issues occur
  • Develop execution plans for significant planned outages, new products, inventory builds, and other events
  • Perform data clean-up in the ERP system
  • Primary contact between the plants and customer service/sales
  • On a regular basis participate in meetings regarding capacity and capability of assets in scope and investment needs

Requirements

  • Relevant BA/BS degree
  • APICS or IBF certification preferred
  • ERP experience required
  • MRP experience and understanding preferred
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Software tools; experience with Blue Yonder preferred
  • Analytical capability
    • Advanced Excel
    • Databases
    • Ability to translate data into information and conclusions
    • Ability to communicate the impact of the analysis
  • Strong judgement and confidence and business understanding to make decisions and challenge stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate with business partners at different locations and different leadership levels
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)

 

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000-$105,000+ bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
