About the role:

We are looking for Sr. Director, Digital Product Management to lead a group of product managers, business associates, and partner with the engineering team to build and improve Gartner's digital platforms. The leader will focus on driving adoptions and client experience for the BuySmart product, while taking a broader lens to integrate various assets into a cohesive, connected technology buying journey for clients.

The ideal candidate is someone who has extreme ownership of the product success, demonstrates innate curiosity and drive to help clients solve their most critical buying decisions through our product platforms. In this role, you will set the product's vision, drive execution, and develop the team while influencing cross-functional stakeholders towards the one vision.

What you will do:
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers owning an area of Gartner's digital suite of products for clients
  • Partner with global stakeholders, including senior Gartner leaders, software engineers, product design, data science and more to deliver high value products to our clients
  • Drive the overarching product/tool vision and strategy across multiple product areas to support business objectives
  • Participate in and lead concept sprints to build a product roadmap, defining critical features/functions in line with core strategy and objectives
  • Drive portfolio prioritization, balance customer needs, business value, and technical investment
  • Use customer insights, market trends, and data to identify opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Influence executive stakeholders, communicate product vision, and drive alignment across the organization.


What you will need:
  • 12-15 years' experience working as a digital product owner with strong product mindset, ideally working on large-scale SaaS applications, enterprise software or technology platforms, with 6-10 years' experience directly managing product managers
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • Proven experience defining product strategy, setting vision and delivering
    multi-year roadmaps, managing and prioritizing backlog
  • Strong focus on driving a great user experience through critical-thinking, problem-solving and collaborative solutioning
  • Define and improve on key performance metrics for the product, and contributions towards the broader digital platform
  • Strong people leadership, communications and stakeholder management skills; translate messy project dynamics into clear updates for executives and individual contributors alike, and build trust quickly with PMs, engineers, designers, and business partners
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines, managing dependencies and competing priorities without losing momentum
  • Experiment and innovate with new tooling (e.g., AI) to drive and scale product management best practices to the team
