Responsibilities

  • Lead improvements for CAD design capture and engineering BOM structures across Peloton's hardware.
  • Manage BOMs, engineering deliverables, and product configurations with internal teams and external partners for NPI.
  • Moderate the PLM Change Control Board to align on changes and deliverables for the PLM platform.
  • Define configuration management processes that control changes across product lines.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and contract manufacturing for integration efforts.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The PLM Architect will work closely with the Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to plan, design, and implement Windchill PLM solutions that enable highly efficient, end-to-end product development processes. This role serves as the critical bridge between product definition and manufacturing, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration between CAD systems and the Windchill environment. You will drive business requirements, system configuration, proof-of-concept prototypes, and acceptance criteria specifically centered around CAD data management and Windchill best practices. Because projects span widely across internal and external partners, excellent project management, communication skills, and versatility are essential. This position requires domestic travel (10% or more as needed).

Location: Woodinville, Seattle, WA (3 day a week)

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
  • Act as the solution architect for Windchill PLM business process definitions, focusing heavily on robust SolidWorks CAD integration.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for building SolidWorks CAD files to ensure optimal data fidelity, seamless check-ins, and strong configuration management within Windchill.
  • Lead continuous process improvements for CAD design capture, CAD-driven engineering BOM (eBOM) structures, configuration management, and SKU definition to guarantee process consistency and quality across Peloton's hardware portfolio.
  • Interface with internal teams and external contract manufacturing partners to efficiently manage BOMs, engineering deliverables, and product configurations through new product introduction (NPI).
  • Moderate the PLM Change Control Board (CCB) to inform and align with program leads and key partners on requested changes and key deliverables for the PLM platform
  • Actively define configuration management processes that drive change control across all product lines, while acting as the primary integration liaison with contract manufacturing teams.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of work experience managing business processes for product development, with deep expertise in Windchill PLM systems and SolidWorks integration.
  • Strong understanding of CAD/CAM applications, with expert-level knowledge of SolidWorks and how to structure CAD models/assemblies for successful Windchill deployment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of BOM structures, working with joint design partners and best practices in a hands-on, dynamic environment consumer manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms like SAP, Netsuite, ERP/MRP/MES/QMS, and how they interact downstream from Windchill.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, project management, and change management
  • A collaborative team member who communicates clearly across cross-functional partners who enjoys highly collaborative environments with cross-functional partners, ensuring project objectives are clearly documented and understood.
  • Strong problem-solving methodology and corrective action skills: DOE, 8D, RedX, DMAIC, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Experience in a hands-on, iterative product cycle, consumer-facing manufacturing environment


The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. $156,150-$191,800 USD
