Who we're looking for

Toyota Financial Services' Data & Technology (DnT) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Sr.Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to play a critical part in supporting and advancing our Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms, which enable strategic financial planning, reporting, and decision-making across the enterprise. Reporting to the Manager, Finance Solutions, the person in this role will support the DnT - Finance Solutions Department's objective to drive operational excellence and deliver business value by leveraging enterprise financial data and modern planning technologies.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will serve as a trusted subject matter expert, bridging the gap between business needs and scalable technology solutions. Success is measured by your ability to drive innovation, provide technical solutions to complex business challenges, and deliver high-quality results that empower our stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic Oracle EPM Cloud Planning solutions that strengthen financial planning, forecasting, and analytics across the business.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate needs into scalable solutions that create measurable impact.
  • Improve and automate Finance Excel-based processes and controls to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Manage EPM metadata, dimensions, reporting artifacts, calculation scripts, business rules, and data integrations to keep systems running smoothly.
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and user training that helps teams work confidently and efficiently.
  • Support SOX, ITGC, and financial audit activities to help ensure compliance and timely delivery of requirements.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and cross-functional delivery efforts that support monthly, quarterly, and annual enhancements.
  • Bring a problem-solving mindset to complex challenges and help turn business requirements into practical, high-value technology outcomes.


What you bring
  • A bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience, that provides a strong foundation for the role.
  • 7 plus years hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Cloud Planning and enterprise financial planning solutions.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills that help uncover insights and support reporting needs.
  • Experience with reporting, analytics, and visualization tools such as Smart View, HFR, OAC, and/or OBIEE.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills in Agile delivery environments.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle EPM technologies, including HFM/FCCS, FDMEE, OAC/Essbase, and scripting or automation tools.


Added bonus if you have
  • An MBA, master's degree, or other advanced degree that deepens your expertise and perspective.
  • Additional experience with intercompany eliminations, financial consolidations, and SAP technologies.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, including connector server client configuration supporting SSO and MFA across multiple Active Directory domains.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and/or Spanish that helps expand collaboration and communication.
