Location: Hershey, PAHow will you fit in the big picture? The Senior Manager, Technical Assurance is the site technical leader responsible for the reliability, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of manufacturing assets and infrastructure. As a member of the plant senior leadership team, this role leads engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities, information systems, and third-party technical services while shaping site strategy and enabling safe, high-quality, and reliable operations.
What will you do? • Lead the site capital plan and large engineering projects, aligning priorities, resources, scope, schedule, budget, technical standards, and governance.
• Build short-term engineering and asset reliability plans that translate site and organizational strategy into predictable execution across multiple workstreams.
• Direct preventive and predictive maintenance, facilities, utilities, and waste-treatment activities to improve equipment and infrastructure reliability.
• Manage major technical risks, dependencies, and escalations affecting safety, quality, cost, timelines, or operations, and drive corrective action with cross-functional partners.
• Provide clear portfolio updates, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and represent the plant on cross-functional project and technology initiatives.
• Develop managers, supervisors, engineers, and technical teams through coaching, capability building, clear accountability, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, technical assurance, asset reliability, maintenance, utilities, project management, or capital administration. Experience leading technical teams and complex engineering programs required; food and beverage or consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, another science degree with significant technical content. Master's degree in engineering or an MBA is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Working knowledge of TPM, SAP, capital controls, engineering standards, food safety, and GMPs.
• Strong data-based problem solving, financial stewardship, stakeholder communication, and people leadership skills.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $156,080 to $195,100 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
