Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Manager of Inventory Risk Management to join our team in Fremont, CA. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for leading a team who's key function will be safeguarding our high-velocity hardware manufacturing pipeline by balancing supply availability with financial exposure. You will design, implement, and lead strategies to mitigate risks associated with overstocking, obsolete components, and global supply fluctuations while ensuring and supporting supply - capacity - utilization globally within Hyve manufacturing facilities.

A core focus of this leadership position is acting as the primary strategic interface between internal planning teams and our key hyperscale clients to ensure absolute clarity and alignment in stock consumption.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
  • Strategic Customer Alignment: Drive end-to-end demand consumption validation and tracking, partnering directly with tier-one hyperscale clients to align actual material pull with forecasted pipelines.
  • Supply Chain Interlocking: Lead cross-functional collaboration with the Supply Chain Planning Team to optimize material availability, manage Clear-to-Build (CTB) tracking, and oversee pull-in/push-out logistics, ensuring mfg Supply - Capacity - Utilization
  • Risk & Exposure Governance: Architect and own the framework for quantifying financial exposure related to excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory, material liabilities, and aging stock.
  • Variance & Accountability Tracking: Direct the assessment and reconciliation of material consumption variances across multi-phase, high-value manufacturing runs.
  • Executive & Client Reporting: Author and present high-level inventory health metrics, consumption trajectories, and risk-mitigation strategies during executive-level and client quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Process Leadership: Standardize and continually mature inventory control policies, audit structures, and risk mitigation tools tailored for a high-throughput IT hardware manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and potentially lead a team of analysts or planners to ensure high execution standards in day-to-day risk management and data accuracy.
  • Dashboard Development & Reporting: Work closely with BizOps and IT cross functional teams to develop or enhance reporting & dashboards, utilizing AI and ensuring clear tracking of metrics while meeting KPI's

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications like APICS/CPIM preferred).
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in material planning, inventory control, or supply chain risk management, including at least 5+ years in a senior or leadership capacity.
  • Industry Acumen: Proven background working within the electronics manufacturing, OEM, or server/data center infrastructure sector.
  • Client-Facing Success: Substantial experience managing relationships and negotiating material liabilities directly with major B2B enterprise customers.
  • Advanced Analytics: Advanced command of data-driven decision-making tools (Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau) and deep familiarity with enterprise ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP or Oracle).
  • Leadership Attributes: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment and managing high-stakes customer timelines under pressure.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000- 190,000 annually.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
