Overview

Lutron has an immediate opening for an Sr. Manager - Human Resources in our Coopersburg (PA) office.

In this role, you will join Lutron's global Human Resources team, delivering strategic HR leadership, insight, and support across the organization.

You will directly lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals while serving as a key partner to Engineering leadership. As a trusted advisor, you will balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on execution, exercising sound judgment and discretion in navigating sensitive and complex situations.

This position calls for a proactive, business-savvy leader who can effectively influence senior stakeholders, operate within complex organizational environments, and drive meaningful change. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening organizational capability, enhancing employee experience, and advancing Lutron's culture and employer brand. In addition, you will drive talent acquisition, employee growth and development, engagement, and performance capability-ensuring the organization is positioned to deliver strong business results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals by providing clear direction, performance feedback, and career development.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and stakeholders across a matrixed organization to drive alignment and results.
  • Attract, hire, and develop top talent, ensuring fair treatment and growth to full potential.
  • Lead talent reviews and succession planning to build a strong Engineering leadership pipeline.
  • Champion Lutron principles and foster a safe, respectful, and productive workplace culture.
  • Partner with leaders on organizational design and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Design and implement HR programs, policies, and solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Identify learning needs and partner with L&D to execute and measure development programs.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Comp & Benefits, TA, Talent Development) to support business objectives.
  • Administer core HR processes including salary reviews, performance reviews, promotions, year-end evaluations, employee relations, and accommodation requests.
  • Lead and support organizational change, employee engagement, and retention initiatives to improve workforce effectiveness.
  • Lead HR analytics initiatives and drive continuous improvement of HR systems.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of employment laws and HR policies, ensuring day-to-day compliance and partnering with Legal as required.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive experience across end-to-end Human Resources functions, people strategy and people leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree is required; an MBA is a plus.
  • HR certifications (like SHRM, Cornell, etc.) are nice to have.
  • Ability to travel typically 25% of the time, with flexibility to accommodate additional travel as required by business needs.
  • Prior experience supporting R&D and engineering teams is an asset.
  • This is an in-person, office-based role, as the position requires working closely with others.
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H1-B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
