Summary
The Senior Manager - Head of Team, AI Innovation Team is responsible for leading the company's AI strategy, innovation roadmap, and practical implementation of AI-enabled solutions across logistics operations. This role focuses on identifying business opportunities, translating operational challenges into AI use cases, and delivering measurable improvements in productivity, visibility, cost efficiency, service quality, and decision-making.

Compensation

$118,000 - $134,000 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities
• Lead the AI Innovation Team and establish a clear AI strategy aligned with business priorities and logistics operations.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases across transportation, yard management, warehouse operations, inventory visibility, forecasting, automation, and customer service.
• Work closely with Operations, IT, Data, Cyber Security, and external vendors to define business requirements, technical feasibility, governance, and implementation plans.
• Translate business and operational requirements into AI/ML, generative AI, computer vision, optimization, analytics, and automation initiatives.
• Manage the full lifecycle of AI projects, from concept and proof of concept through deployment, adoption, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
• Develop AI governance standards, including data privacy, cyber security compliance, responsible AI usage, model monitoring, and risk management.
• Build business cases for AI initiatives, including expected value, cost savings, productivity gains, operational impact, and return on investment.
• Lead vendor evaluation, solution selection, contract support, and delivery management for AI-related platforms and services.
• Promote AI adoption across the organization by providing training, change management support, and practical guidance to business users.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in logistics AI, automation, robotics, computer vision, predictive analytics, and digital transformation.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of information technology management, infrastructure, enterprise applications, and IT service delivery.
• Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, LLM, cloud technologies, enterprise systems, databases, and end-user computing environments.
• Project management skills with the ability to lead large-scale technology initiatives, manage competing priorities, and successfully deliver complex IT projects.

Education & Experience

• Bacherlor's Required
• 8 - 12 years of direct experience in XYZ
• 4 - 7 years supervisory experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Must operate desktop, computers, laptop, printer, scanners, shredders, etc.
• Constant use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Sit for 5+ hours per day
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach over shoulder, kneel, push, pull 1-3 hours per day
