This is a remote position involving close collaboration with a small, specialized technical team supporting the CFIUS data center in Somerset, New Jersey, which services OSS Classic (fTelcordia) products.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our z/OS platform software development data center team in the USA. In this role, you will serve as the primary storage subject matter expert, responsible for the administration, security, performance, and availability of our enterprise storage infrastructure - including IBM DS8000 storage systems, TS7700 virtual tape environments, data lifecycle management, encryption, and backup solutions. This position also includes keeping current support of miscellaneous third-party software products and assisting with other systems support activities as needed. Some travel to our data center in Somerset, New Jersey is required, along with occasional availability outside standard working hours (approximately twice a month).
What you will do
3 Administer and support IBM z16 storage environments running z/OS3 Manage and maintain DFSMS, DFSMShsm (HSM), and ISMF storage management functions3 Configure and support IBM DS8884, DS8910F, TS7700, TS3000, and TS3500 storage platforms3 Administer GKLM (Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager) encryption3 Manage storage capacity, performance tuning, backup, and recovery processes3 Maintain HSM migration, backup, recall, and recovery policies3 Administer and support the CA/Broadcom CA 1 Tape Management product3 Perform troubleshooting of storage hardware, FICON, and SAN infrastructure3 Perform regularly scheduled semi-monthly system backups3 Must be available to work outside of standard working hours to support and troubleshoot as needed (approximately twice a month)3 Ability to travel to data center located in Somerset, New Jersey for on-site work as needed
Location: New Jersey is preferred but will consider New York or Pennsylvania locations within commutable distance to Somerset, New Jersey.

The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
3 Location: New Jersey, New York - $158,500 - $198,000 USD
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
