Job Summary

The Senior IT Engineer designs and manages systems architectures across Cisco & Meraki, ensuring integration and efficiency while implementing best practices. This role involves conducting research on emerging technologies, triaging issues, automating processes, and monitoring IT components for continuous availability. The ideal candidate will manage incident resolution, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and utilize tools like ServiceNow to track changes and adhere to change management processes.

This position is required to report to the Somerset, NJ or Austin, TX office location on a hybrid schedule.

Role Description

Wireless LAN (Cisco & Meraki):
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco WLCs (e.g., Catalyst 9800, 3504).
  • Deploy and optimize wireless access points using CAPWAP and RF best practices.
  • Manage Meraki wireless networks via the Meraki Dashboard.
  • Design and implement SSIDs, guest access portals, and wireless security policies.
  • Perform RF site surveys and spectrum analysis to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Integrate wireless solutions with Cisco ISE for authentication and policy enforcement.
  • Monitor wireless performance and resolve connectivity issues.

Routing & Switching:
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
  • Configure and manage Cisco switches and routers (Catalyst, Nexus).
  • Ensure network redundancy, high availability, and failover mechanisms.
  • Monitor network performance using SNMP, NetFlow, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network expansion and upgrades.

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
