Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Industry Product Marketing Manager to join our Financial Services industries team.
You will drive awareness of how Salesforce helps our financial services customers solve industry-specific problems and create the foundation for future success in the era of the agentic enterprise. You will get to work closely with Sales, Industry Advisors, and our Product organization to shape and execute on comprehensive go-to-market plans. Successful candidates will be strong at strategy, storytelling, stakeholder alignment and AI orchestration. At Salesforce our marketers have embraced the full power of AI and bring a drive to figure out the best ways it can help us do our work and serve our stakeholders and customers better.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Strategy: Leverage market signals, competitive intelligence, and Sales data to develop go-to-market plans for the Financial Services industry (banking, wealth and asset management, and insurance) that drive pipe, help Sales close ACV, and drive customer adoption
- Messaging: Craft a messaging strategy and broader narrative that articulates the value for our Salesforce platform including our agentic AI capabilities for the industry
- Content: Understand what content performs best in which part of the funnel. Create compelling content that avoids jargon and provides value. This includes e-books, data sheets, thought leadership content, demo videos, and sales assets like playbooks.
- Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers and their executives to develop success stories and compelling event content when they are speakers. You have the credibility, judgment, and executive presence to represent Salesforce in high-stakes conversations independently.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Salesforce a highly matrixed organization and you will work across stakeholders at various levels. Know when to involve them and how to manage multiple asks. Have executive presence.
- Event Narrative & Storytelling: A significant portion of this role is showing up at events to drive pipeline. This individual will be responsible for session ownership from beginning to end - from setting the content strategy to translating the corporate message for Financial Services to sometimes delivering it on stage. This includes developing scripts and slides for yourself and other speakers for keynotes and breakout sessions for Salesforce-owned events and third party events. You will also be asked to present and represent on stage and in executive reviews leading up to the event.
- Website: Own industry pages on the website - keep them updated with the latest messaging and positioning and use data to maximize this channel.
- Webinars: Create compelling content for this digital channel that keeps the audience engaged
- AI: Every part of the above should use AI as a starting point. Develop AI projects that help the whole team operate more effectively. Experience in Claude Code, Slack Skills, and Gemini a must.
Position Requirements:
- 7+ years of product marketing or related experience, ideally in SaaS or enterprise technology
- Working knowledge of the Financial Services industry — banking, wealth and asset management, and insurance — enough to speak credibly with customers and Sales without needing a translator
- A track record of turning market and competitive signals into positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans that Sales actually uses
- Experience developing content across the funnel — from thought leadership to sales playbooks — and knowing which format earns attention at which stage
- Comfort presenting on stage and coaching other speakers, including executives, through scripts and talk tracks for keynotes and breakouts
- Proven ability to work independently with executives (internal and customers)
- Scrappy and comfortable with ambiguity. Doesn't let ego get in the way of getting the job done
- Strong cross-functional influence — Sales, Product, Industry Advisors, and marketing peers — without needing formal authority to get alignment
- Hands-on experience with AI tools in a marketing context; Claude Code, Slack Skills, and Gemini required
- A bias toward building and testing AI-assisted workflows rather than waiting for someone else to hand you the process
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the range to write both a data sheet and a keynote script
At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions.
The typical base salary range for this position is $143,400 - $216,900 annually.
The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
