Full Job Description
The Senior Implementation Consultant leads technical integration projects for Veradigm DORN across laboratory, radiology, and EHR partners. This role owns projects end to end, from kickoff through production certification, managing both net-new integrations and partner transitions. The consultant also maintains lab and radiology test compendiums and supports EHR partners as they onboard and test new labs and radiology centers on the network.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT implementation, integration, or technical project management, ideally involving labs, radiology, or EHR systems.
  • Hands-on experience with HL7 messaging (orders and results) and API-based integrations.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory or radiology order/results workflows, including test compendiums and result mapping.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent implementation projects with competing timelines and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience leading meetings with external partners and technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working directly with EHR vendors, lab/radiology partners, and internal engineering, product, and support teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with Veradigm products (DORN, Veradigm EHR, Practice Fusion) or comparable diagnostic connectivity platforms.
  • Familiarity with reference lab operations (e.g., LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics) or radiology/imaging center workflows.
  • Experience managing EHR-to-lab or EHR-to-radiology integration migrations or platform transitions.
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.

What You'll Contribute:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of net-new and transition integration projects for DORN lab, radiology, and EHR partners, from kickoff and technical scoping through QA certification and go-live.
  • Lead technical design discussions with partners to translate clinical and operational requirements into a working DORN integration, using API and HL7 (order and results messaging) standards.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, and status reporting; run kickoff calls, weekly status meetings, and risk/issue tracking for each active engagement.
  • Own and maintain lab and radiology compendiums, ensuring test/order codes, result formats, and mappings stay accurate and current for each connected lab or radiology center.
  • Support EHR partners in onboarding and testing new labs and radiology centers via DORN, including test plan execution, QA demo review, and production certification.
  • Coordinate with laboratory and radiology partners (e.g., LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics, regional and hospital labs, imaging centers) on connectivity requirements, transaction fee structures, and go-live readiness.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues during implementation and early production, partnering with engineering and support teams to resolve order/result transmission problems.
  • Identify and escalate project risks, scope changes, and delays; manage change orders in coordination with account and product teams.
  • Provide implementation-led support during the post-certification stabilization period, and hand off cleanly to ongoing support once a partner reaches steady state.
  • Document integration decisions, configurations, and lessons learned to improve repeatability across future DORN implementations.
