Location: - This role is based in any of our Regional Merchandise Centers (Dallas, TX, Austin, TX, Indianapolis, IN, New York, NY, Woodinville, WA, Troy, MI, Atlanta, GA ) and requires you to work onsite 4 days per week, with 1 day remote.
- To be considered, you must live within commuting distance, as regular in-person collaboration is a key part of the role.
The Sr. HR Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic partnership and consultation to their respective business leaders and units. The Sr. HRBP will advise on the HR aspects of business decisions and ensure alignment with company culture and practices to improve organizational success. This hands-on role provides human resources services in the areas of employee and leadership development, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement to the Sales unit. This position requires working on-site daily with some flexibility.
Responsibilities - Act as primary contact for employees and managers. Build a strong business relationship with the internal clients and stakeholders.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business. Proactively support the delivery of HR initiatives and processes.
- Identify opportunities for HR strategic influence within client groups and set objectives in partnership with leaders accordingly.
- Effectively drive leadership development, management/employee coaching, and performance management
- Partner with management teams to assist in optimizing people, strategy, structure, process and culture, and facilitate the delivery of HR services as appropriate
- Conduct regular meetings with leaders to review talent, provide advice and recommendations on performance management, development, organizational design, etc.
- Consult with management to address root causes of performance issues, resolving issues with a detailed approach. Counsel management on disciplinary actions ensuring consistency and adherence to policies.
- Partner with Sales teams to identify specific talent development needs for the facility and collaborate with the L&D Director.
- Identify, evaluate, and participate in human resource policy and program development in partnership with the HR team.
- Proactively identify and develop programs, or tools to positively affect morale and retention.
- Apply extensive knowledge of human resource principles, concepts, industry practices and standards in the analysis of information and projects.
- Assist in the ideation and execution of multiple employee recognition events throughout the year.
- Support organizational changes and business initiatives with thoughtful planning, communication, and risk assessment.
- Use people data and workforce insights to identify trends, recommend actions, and improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. (Workday experience is a plus)
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, People Operations, and other HR partners to deliver a strong and consistent employee experience.
- Act as the primary HR partner for leaders and employees across the U.S. sales organization providing strategic and hands-on support across the employee lifecycle.
- Coach and advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and change leadership.
- Lead and support complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, grievances, disciplinary processes, absence management, and exits.
- Other job duties as assigned.
What You Bring- Strong HR business partnering experience at a sales organization.
- Strong knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance considerations with the ability to learn and navigate across the U.S.
- A proven ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders, influence decisions, and balance employee and business needs with sound judgment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills across functions, cultures, and levels of the organization.
- A practical, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Minimum 7-10 years working in a full-time HRBP role partnering with leaders on people strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred. HR certifications are a plus.
- Periodic travel to other BDA locations as business needs require.

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth.
