Summary:

The Sr. HR Project Manager plays a key role in leading the planning, execution, and implementation of complex and high-impact human resources initiatives across the organization. This position requires advanced project management expertise, strong HR and business acumen, and the ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions and levels.

As a Sr. HR Project Manager, you will independently lead large-scale and/or highly complex HR projects and programs from strategy through implementation, partnering with HR leaders, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate organizational priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. You will anticipate risks and dependencies, navigate ambiguity, drive decisions, and ensure initiatives enhance employee experiences and support broader business objectives.

The Sr. HR Project Manager also serves as a project management subject matter expert, helping establish effective project practices, providing guidance to others, and driving continuous improvement in how HR initiatives are planned and delivered.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of complex, high-impact HR projects and programs, establishing project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, resource requirements, governance, and measures of success.
  • Translate HR and organizational priorities into comprehensive project strategies and actionable plans, ensuring initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Independently manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities, making informed decisions and recommendations to maintain progress and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional project teams, HR partners, business leaders, and other stakeholders to establish alignment, clarify accountability, and drive execution against project objectives.
  • Establish project governance and decision-making processes, facilitate key project meetings, and drive timely resolution of issues, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage complex project risks, issues, and interdependencies; develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical matters when appropriate.
  • Analyze project performance, outcomes, and key performance indicators to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend adjustments or improvements.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise, and actionable project updates, recommendations, and presentations for senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and resource plans, identifying tradeoffs and recommending resource allocation strategies to support successful delivery.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop change management, communication, and implementation approaches that support adoption and sustainable outcomes.
  • Anticipate organizational impacts associated with HR initiatives and collaborate with appropriate partners to address stakeholder needs and implementation risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating project processes, identifying opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency, and implementing scalable project management practices.
  • Serve as a project management resource and subject matter expert within HR, providing guidance, coaching, and support to project team members and less-experienced project managers as appropriate.
  • Build strong relationships across HR and the broader organization to facilitate collaboration, influence decisions, and successfully navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of successful project management, preferably in HR or related domains.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is advantageous but not required
