Full Job Description
Position Summary

As an environmental remediation engineer, you will conduct tests to determine the contamination extent as well as to track the remediation project's progress. In addition, you will be responsible for consulting with external stakeholders and community members and preparing reports on environmental and human impact. This candidate would preferably work out of our Yonkers, NY location; however, could work from our NYC office.

Responsibilities
  • Further develop environmental site remediation capabilities and business for the firm encompassing both private and public markets.
  • Work with clients to develop strategic approaches to satisfy remediation requirements from preliminary assessment through investigation and remediation construction,
  • Direct and implement field and office data collection efforts, data validation, and data evaluation.
  • Conduct environmental Preliminary Site Assessments, Phase I and II ESA.
  • Direct and implement soil, groundwater, sediment, air, and soil vapor sample collection.
  • Provide project management and oversight of investigation and remediation subcontractors including analytical laboratories and drilling companies.
  • Manage NY compliance projects for solid waste, stormwater, and other NY regulatory programs.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members.
  • Develop new business, scope projects, and prepare proposals and SOQs.
  • Prepare Technical Reports; remediation alternative analyses and then designs; and bid documents.
  • Participate in client and community outreach meetings and presentations.


Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of relevant work experience on site remediation, and brownfield redevelopment projects.
  • Experience working on NY Brownfield and SEQRA projects.
  • Master's degree in science/engineering and New York State Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
  • Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) preferred.
  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with client development, proposal preparation, and other business development activities.
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Excellent knowledge of New York remediation regulations. Experience with NJDEP regulations preferred.
  • OSHA 40 - Hour HAZWOPER Training.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Desire/ability to expand existing client and building new client relationships.
